5.0 out of 5 stars. Want to know more about REBT before diving in? If anyone else is like me and found out about REBT, wanted to know more but didn’t wanna spend $30 on a book without knowing more about it… Then this is a wonderful short and concise reading on REBT and it’s basic principles. Paying $1 for the kindle version and using 20 minutes of my time was worth it in my opinion. Hope this helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Quick, easy explanation. I wanted a general explanation of how REBT worked. This guide was very informative and easy to follow. I like how the author used examples to get his point across. Although it seems like it might be helpful to some, I’m not sure I can embrace the “Too bad”, “Oh well”, or “So what?” mentality that Ellis is trying to teach!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good exercises at the end to practice. This product is a concise overview of Albert Ellis version of self-therapy. It really gets to the meat of what Ellis was able to extrapolate from Stoic Philosophy to develop an easy-to-understand and use system of retraining your perception, behaviors, and thus, emotional reactions. You can read this book easily in one sitting and it will change your life.

5 out of 5 Stars. Must have been Mr. Olson’s doctoral dissertation but really really helpful. It is worth the small price to pay for sound advice I actually followed for 4 weeks. I did stand backward (facing the back wall) of a crowded elevator as he suggested among other odd but doable antics. It felt strange but empowering to know I had the gumption (cajones) to go against society’s norm and survive the trip to the 5th floor.

I tapped into feelings long-suppressed but now bubbling to the surface for recognition and healing. PTSD is not fun nor does it ever really go away.
His philosophy helped diffuse my once invasive repetitive distorted controlling thoughts and behavior.

Passed the pamphlet on to my therapist and other veterans in my Mindfulness classes at the Prescott VA.
